Biddulph started slowly against a well organised ladies team losing three quick goals without reply. During the second quarter began to get back into the game with good defending throughout the side and with better shooting could have easily taken a half time lead.
The next three quarters were neck and neck with Biddulph equalising with seconds remaining.
Although the game was physical at times with tempers fraying, both sides should take encouragement from their displays.
Biddulph introduced three new players to the water Anna Jones, Amy Harris, Oliver Simpson and Sophie Pyatt. Oliver and Sophie have recently been successful in qualifying for the 1995/96 RTC at Manchester. It is hoped that Anna will be joining them next year.
It is hoped that this will be the 1st of many friendlies between the clubs at different age groups.
A great team performance which hopefully can be carried forward into an U-16s mixed league next spring 2008.
